The Alluvium Group is simple. It is the natural extension of a Chicago-based community of artists dedicated to producing rampant, prolific works of independent theatre. Unlike a traditional theatre company, Alluvium does not produce shows on its own, nor does it take creative control of the projects it presents. As a result, the works produced by its community are vibrant, unexpected, and infinitely variable. It can be a Shakespeare play in an industrial building. It can be a post-modern deconstruction of religion in a public park. It can be a man doing backflips for thirty minutes.  Alluvium-affiliated projects have two things in common: their dedication to the work and their love for adventurous risk-taking in creating rough-hewn theatre wherever possible.
